PETER PAN SPEEDROCK
PETER PAN SPEEDROCK
Finally, soon, Holland’s rock-mastodon PETER PAN SPEEDROCK will return to the stage. In November 2016, with various awards under their arm, the rock-trio that put the Netherlands on the international map as the go-to place for rock-’n-roll, decided to call it quits and put an end to the adventure, looking back on a spectacular twenty-year long rollercoasterride, which saw the band establish themselves as a household name on the international rockscene. A true live phenomenon; a sonic force-of-nature, single-handedly making up for the lack of earthquakes and hurricanes in the Netherlands, through hundreds of thousands of kilometres travelled, playing over 2000 shows everywhere from Holland and Europe, Canada and the US, to Australia, Japan, Russia, and even Africa.
PETER PAN SPEEDROCK were the founders and instigators of the SPEEDROCK genre, inspiring dozens of bands to follow in their footsteps.
Bassist Bartmann, on behalf of the band: ‘The fire really started burning again about a year ago, during an unexpected reunion show at JANKFEST, a festival put on by the No Guts No Glory foundation, especially organised for one of our most loyal fans. As we found out, the music was all still there, and seeing the old gang back together (band, crew, and entourage) after four years, turned out to be a total blast. Things just felt really right, and left everybody wanting more! Add to that the fact that we expected everyone te be just about ready for a good old-fashioned rock-’n-roll party, and oh yes, of course we all missed hangin’ out with Fat Dennis!
LUCIFER STAR MACHINE
Lucifer Star Machine play fired-up Rock'n'Roll, combining the attitude and energy of Punk with the musicianship of Hard Rock and Heavy MetalTheir high energy live shows cement their reputation as a true in-your-face Rock 'n' Roll act. But it's the combination of this wanton brutality with their flair for heartfelt and catchy melodies that really sets them apart.
The German 5-piece was originally founded in London, UK in 2002 and has since been touring across Europe.
The band was selected as tour support for the former Motörhead guitarist‘s outfit Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons and toured or shared stages with acts like Agnostic Front, The Bones, Comeback Kid, Peter Pan Speedrock, Nashville Pussy, Supersuckers, Anti-Nowhere League, Turbo AC’s, Mad Sin and Demented Are Go.
In recent years the band hit the stage at Wacken Open Air, followed by performances at Ain’t Like You, Stoned From The Underground and several other festivals.
Even though Lucifer Star Machine's first output was produced by Punk Rock legend Rat Scabies of The Damned and the band was lauded for their authenticity and unadorned approach, constant line up changes and personal difficulties stopped the outfit to rise to their full potential.
